Answer #1

(1) Spin echo sequences are produced by using a pairs of Radio frequency pulses, on the other hand gradient echo sequences are produced by single RF(radio frequency) pulse with the help of gradient reversal.

(2) Since only one radio frequency pulse is used in gradient echo method, it is much faster to record echo. Therefore time taken to record echo is generally smaller than taken in spin echo sequence.

(3) Gradient echo sequences are more easily troubled by susceptibilities and other artifacts than Spin echo sequences.
