The energy dissipated for each part of the cycle is as follows: Exhaust – 100j Induction – 130j Compression – 200j Ignition – 430j A Flywheel of radius of gyration 0.5m is to be used to ensure that the speed remains between 1500 & 2000 RPM. a) Determine the greatest fluctuation in energy. b) Determine the coefficient of fluctuation of speed and hence the required moment of inertia of the flywheel. c) Determine the required mass of the flywheel.
