For Carbon atom the formal charge = 4 - 8/2 - 0

= 4 - 4 - 0

For Nitrogen atom the formal charge = 5 - 4 - 0

= 1

For Oxygen atom the formal charge = 6 - 1 - 6

= -1

For Oxygen atom connected with double bond the formal charge will be = 6 - 2 - 4

= 0

The Overall charge for the CH3NO2 will be 0

Overall charge for CaHPO4 is 0

Overall Charge for SeF6 is 0

Overall charge for XeF6 is 0

Ionic and Covalent Bonds in CH3NO2

Though it has 5 valence electrons, 3 bonds are utilised in forming covalent bond with C atom, likewise 2 covalent bonds with O atom. The Nitrogen atom with two unshared electrons is hard to left.
