Answer #1

Observed Data :

Desired Total Output = 4725 cars

Present shift per day = 3

1 full assembly line can produce = 75 cars

1 full assembly line = 100 workers

Total production days available = 21

1. Total number of assembly line shift required to run over the next 21 days can be calculated as follows:

Expected Daily production = 4725/21 = 225

Expected single shift production = 225/3 = 75

So 3 production = 75*3 = 225

Hence when the assembly workers work at full capacity for the next 21 days on the basis of 3 shift per day, they will be able to meet their overall production target.

Hence assembly line shift required to run over the next 21 days = 3*21 = 63

So, if 63 assembly line shifts are run for the next 21 days at full capacity, the demand of 4725 cars can be met.

Correct answer is option 1. 63

2. The correct answer is : e. All of these resources will be required.

For a oil pipeline Construction unit, we need to have human resources, financial resources, raw material resources and Information resources. None of these can be excluded.

3. The correct answer is option e: human resources.

A business financing division of the company will be more interested in having up to date information, raw materials resources and the financial resources to settle on the values and Human resources will have the last priority.

4. Number of worker hours needed to staff over the time period is calculated as follows:

Number of workers in one shift = 100

Number of shifts per day = 3

Number of shift for the entire production days = 21*3 = 63

Worker Hours = 8

Number of workers * number of shifts *8

= 100*63*8 = 50,400

The correct answer is option d : 50,400
