In 2004 GfK Roper reports worldwide surveyed people, asking them about how important is control over people and resources to you.The percentage of people who responded that it was of more than average importance to them were listed in the form of a frequency table and there were about 1500 respondents per country Country Percentage China | 49.10% France | 44.10% India U.K USA | 36.0090 74.20% 27.80% a) Pie chart is not a suitable mode to display since the total percentage dose not adds up to one Pie chart would be an effective way of representing data when the percentage adds to 100% otherwise it becomes ineffective in representing the data in the sense that it will not be possible to interpret the data effectively b) An appropriate display for the frequency distribution would be a bar chart as we are given the percentages for different countries A bar chart represents the data series diagrammatically and the same can be created with the help of EXCEL software as follows . Select the data series .Choose the chart option in excel from the insert option in the ribbon .Select the 2D chart- Column and chart output will be seen.
