Classical conditioning is dependent upon certain factors of stimuli to learn. Certain stimulies are introduced into the environment due to which some reactions on behaviour is being observed. In classical conditioning neutral stimulus which automatically triggers a response is usually used. For example- if I make any sudden prompt noise in front of a baby then the baby would get frightened, sometimes start crying & show the signs of fear according to his or her age group. This is a natural reflection, so neutral stimulus is used through which we get natural or we can say automatic response. Whereas Operant conditioning relies more on consequences which is also called learning by consequences. The main focus in observation in operant conditioning is that with the help of consequences how can we change the behaviour of a person. For example: when parents tried to inculcate some modification on the behaviour of a child they usually use punishment method as a tool to modify the behaviour of a child. My parents usually give me punishment for not doing homework on time during school days. According to Albert Bandura learning from society involve four major process- a] Attention process- without giving attention we cannot learn. We have to give full attention to learn anything in shot span of time. b] Retention- when we give our attention to learn something new then we set it in our memory about the knowledge of the subject. c] Reproduction process-after storing in memory we start using it in our life through practice. d] Motivational process- after practise when we start exhibiting our genius then we expect praise & recognition. Reproduction processes very much dependent on motivational process for its growth & longevity .
