Double declining depreciation rate = 1/5*2= 40%                                             

Depreciation for 2016 = 120000*40% = 48000                                                    

Depreciation for 2017 = (120000-48000)*40%=   28800                                     

Balance in accumulated depreciation on December 31,2017 = 48000+28800 = 76800
