Part II: 1. Your unfair coin comes up heads with probability 0.6. You lip it until you get four heads in a row. Let t be the expected mmber of times you fip. Write an equation for t. (Your equation, if solved., should give the value of t). 2. X ~ U[2,3]. Y = 4tX2. Find the correlation between X and Y, why isnt it 1? 3, X has cdf FX(t) = 1-e-t4 for 0 f Y-X4 and of Z-X1 4. Independent variables X, Y, Z have geometric distributions with means 2,3,4 respectively. Find r <oo. Find the cdf o -X4 and of Z = X 4. P(X> Y), P(X > Z) and P(X>Ynx > Z). Why doesnt your third answer equal the product of your first two answers?

The next three questions (5 to 8) refer to the following: An unfair coin is tossed three times. For each toss, the probability that the coin comes up heads is 0.6 and the probability that the coin comes up tails is 0.4. If we let X be the number of coin tosses that come up heads, observe that the possible values of X are 0, 1, 2, and 3. Find the probability distribution of X. Hint: the problem can be...
