Do you consider a primary home an investment? Stated differently, when looking at your portfolio do you include your primary dwelling?

Answer #1

No. This will not be considered investment since we are using the primary home for living and do not intend to sell it to make gains. It is a security but not an investment. In the portfolio we include investments which are intended for sale such as stocks, bonds and real estate but not the primary home for that reason.
