Time management is a skill that takes time to develop and is different for each person .

1. Delegates tasks : it is common for all of us to take more tasks than our desired potential .

Nurse leader can manage her time with delegation of work . Delegation is not running away from responsibilities but it is important function of management .

Nurse leader should learn the delegating work to staff nurses as per their skills and abilities and can be achieved with in time limit.

2.prioritize work : nurse leader should aware about the important works and un important works . Some important task need to be completed on that time limit and unimportant task can post pone to next day .

3. Shedule the task : nurse should shedule the task as per the time limit

Carry a planner or note book with nurse and list all tasks that come to mind

Make a simple 'to do 'list before the start of the day ,prioritize the task and focus on the essential .male sure that these task are attainable too.

4. Set up dead lines : when you have a task at hand ,sry a realistic deadline and stick to it

Try to set a dead line to days before the task so that you can complete all those task that may get on the way . Challenge yourself and meet one a difficult challenge .

5. Avoid procrastination : procrastination is one of the things that badly affect productivity .it can result in wasting essential time and energy .it could be a major problem in both in work and personal life.

Avoid procrastation at all cost .

Stress often occurs when We accept more work than our ability .

In nursing profession it is very much high . Nurses are getting more stress with their bundles of work .

The result is that our body starts feeling tired which can affevt our productivity .

Besides delegating tasks ti junior staff nurses to help reduce the burden of nurse leaders .

7. Avoid multi tasking :

Nurses are every day do the multi tasks .

Most of us feel that multitasking is an efficient way of getting things done but the truth is that We do better when focus and concentrate on one thinf . Multirasking hampers productivity and should be avoided to improve time management techniques.

Make Use of to - do and dead lines help the nurses to stay focus and this can way the nurses can do better at what are doing .

8. Start early : most of successful men or women have one thing in common- they start their day early as it gives them time to sit ,think and plan their day.

9. Take regular breaks : when ever you find your self for 10 to 15 minutes ,take a break .too much stress can take a toll on your body and affect your productivity.

Politely refuse to accept additional tasks if already overloaded with work .
