Parts of data processing cycle

  • Data collection It is crucial part of data processing cycle.Output will depend on quality of data collected.Many methods are used to collect data..
  • Preparation Data which is collected is in raw form,it can't be  analysed.This raw data is manipulated to convert into summarized data table.
  • Input Data is entered into the system b using input system like keyboard,mouse for processing of information and generating output.
  • Processing   It is process of execution of all instructions which are provided to computer system.There are many software programs which are available for processing large volume of data.
  • Output Processed information is presented to user .Output provide valuable information for making decision.
  • Storage Processed information is held for future reference .It allows quick access of data.It is last step of data processing cycle.

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)

It is integrated software which is used by large business organisation to manage many functions like sale,purchase,inventory,human resource.It is opposed to system in which individual software is used to handle out specific task.
