Using SPSS for Windows, I have my 1st quiz on manipulating data. What do I study, 6 books in front of me.
You should prepare a list which are necessary for manipulating a dataset. For example, to analyze a univariate data, you can prepare a list like different charts to represent the data, summary statistics, presence of irregular observations, departure from normality, test for mean, test for single variance. Then cover these topics from any one book and create a good knowledge on these topics.
Then for bivariate data, how to crosstabulate a data, their inter relationship, different charts to represent their inter relationship, regression, test related to two means, two variances etc. Prepare yourself on these topics from a suitable book.
Then, for multivariate data which are generally occur in real life situations, use those univariate, bivariate analysis. Not only that, prepare a list like correlation analysis, multiple regression, test like ANOVA etc. Create knowledge on those topics.
This is how to prepare yourself for a quiz or create knowledge on a particular field.
