Seventh cranial nerve is facial nerve, assessment of this nerve inclides assessing facial symmetry, looking for signs of forwning, the client is asked to pucker his lips, close his eyes, smile, frown, both the sides of the face should move similarly any abnormality identified on either side of the face indicates facial nerve palsy.

2.

There is significant difference between clinical presentation of stroke and bells palsy, bells palsy ia the weakness of VII cranial nerve that causes facial droop of affected side and may not normally incljde the brain function. Rather stroke involves the brain cells and impact the brain function by impacting the speech, language memory and coordination.
