Polymorphism Too Limiting?
The following is an excerpt from Sets and Polymorphism on Wikipedia.
“One of my complaints against polymorphism is that it tends to require that a taxonomy be created such that a given object belong to one and only one sub-type. (I know there are other kinds of polymorphism, but the most common kind requires an explicit or implicit taxonomy.) I find trees too limiting a classification system"
Explain the author’s point. What does he mean by a tree? (If you don’t know, you should research the term.) Give an example of something that is not easily modeled with a tree.
