In this model, the harvesting rate is proportional to the size of the population. The parameter a gives the fraction of the population harvested per unit of time.
(a) Find the equilibrium points as a function of α.
(b) Suppose we increase α in small steps, allowing the population to reach equilibrium after each step. How does the population change as α increases?
(c) Compare this "population dependent" harvesting model to the constant harvesting model of Exercise 20.
