All three binary tree traversal methods studied in this chapter traverse the left subtree before the right subtree. This is an artifact of Western culture, where people are accustomed to reading material printed on a page from left to right. In a world of increasing globalization, products and services that will be offered in foreign markets must be designed so that they can be easily altered to target different markets. Discuss with your classmates some of the ways these internationalization considerations are affecting the design of computer software and hardware today. Discuss this with a friend who has had a course in International Business, or take such a course yourself, to become better aware of some of the problems businesses face when they enter inter-national markets.
