Discontinuous Forcing Terms. There are occasions when the forcing term Q (x) in a linear equation fails to be continuous because of jump discontinuities. Fortunately, we may still obtain a reasonable solution imitating the procedure discussed in Problem 31. Use this procedure to find the continuous solution to the initial value problem.
