The mean score on the driving exam for a group of driver's education students have mean (mu ) = 64 and standard deviation (sigma ) = 6

Chebychev's Theorem: At least 1 - (1/k2) of the data lie within k standard deviation of the mean, that is in the interval with endpoint mu - k*sigma and mu + k*sigma

Here k = 2

According to Chebychev's theorem

1-0.25 = 0.75 k: 2 02 which 75%

Endpoints

mu - k*sigma = 64 - 2*6 = 64-12 = 52

,1 + k * σ 64 + 2 * 6 64 + 12 = 76

Interpretation: At least 75% of the students scores lie within 2 standard deviation of the mean that is between 52 to 76.
