Answer #1

Reagents are MnO2 and HCl

So this reaction states that 4 moles of HCl reacts with 1 mole of MnO2 to produce 1 mole of Cl2 gas.

Molar mass

MnO2   86.94 gm/mol HCl 36.5 gm/mol

In this reaction 41.5 gm of MnO2 reacts with 45.3 gm of HCl

or in other words (41.5/86.94) = 0.48 moles of MnO2 reacts with (45.3/36.5) = 1.24 moles of HCl

So here HCl is limiting reagent because it is less amount and can react with 1.24/4 =0.31 moles of MnO2

producing 0.31 mole of Cl2 gas = 71*0.31 = 22.01 gm (theoretical yield for 100% reaction)

now yield is 84.3% so amount is 22.01*84.3% = 18.55 gm
