From your knowledge of hospital organizational structure, who should be on the PI team? What departments should be represented? What staff positions would you include? What is your rationale for including each individual?

PI is performance Improvement. Performance indicators are going to determine the quality of health care being provided to the patient's in the hospital.

All Clinical and non clinical department are intended to maintain the best quality of services .

PI team should basically involve the following members

Hospital administrator :- As the decision making and policy framework lies in his authority and control.

Quality Coordinator :- execution of quality standards and evaluation of the performance of department based on the set criteria. If the department meets the criteria their performance is counted accordingly. He/she will gather data from all the department s and give a proper analysis

Head of Department or Team leader:- A responsible person may be a physician who will lead and directed the activity of the team and it's co ordinated efforts in a proper direction so as to give best possible outcome.

External Assessor:- External assessor is an individual who does not belong to the hospital and is a expert from the medical industry. This is required to eliminate any biases that may occur.

Having external assessor is optional as the hospital may not want the information and data to be disclosed in any case for the matters of confidentiality.
