I have my own very fresh experience of such an incident which occurred in operating room by the anaesthesia doctors in oncology department . The patient was posted for tumor removal under general anaesthesia . The senior anaesthetic doctor was supposed to supervise their juniors doctors . When the junior doctor was intubating the patient ,it was not done correctly and patient started to desaturate . The junior doctor asked her senior anaesthetic doctor to see but she said it's ok ,you carry on and the patient died on table due to desaturation . It was a prime example of negligence by the senior anaesthetic doctor . And the case was put in the court ,but she modified it as cancer related death and got out of the catch .
