There are total 4 questions in a paragarh manner. Last 2 questions are background based ad depend on your previous project, in which you might be asked for submit "literature review. here we will discus first 2 questions.
What are the ethical issues in internet based research? Any research method, which uses internet as a source of data or as the means of collecting data is internet based research. Data collection from internet have primary ethical issue that the data you are collecting is real true or false. And second issue is that are you allowed to use that data for research purpose? Third is are you sure you are not collecting repeatedly the same data.
We will discuss these 3 issues and adressing strategy of these. 1. Data is true or false?!!! Suppose one make a questionnaire and publish through internet and collect data of individual. So it may be possible that participants might not take it seriously and submitting false information. To address this issue research should be done on known persons only or thruough a authenticate agencies . As well as Data should only be collected from registered government websites only.
To address that you are allowed to use data or not. U must browse term and condition of website and ensure those are not copy righted and free to use for academic purpose.
In third issue of repeating sample are hard to address . But in spme countries individual have unique identification number so including and verifying the same can reduce the repeating sample in the case of questionnaire.
Above all we must be aware of electonic web addresses of instituutions for ensuring that we are collecting right data.
