Answer #1

Post purchase behaviour is the stage of the Buyer Decision Process when a consumer take action based on their satisfaction or dissatisfaction. The consumer's level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction is related to their expectation. If after the purchase the product is matching the expectations, they will be "satisfied" and if not matched than they will be "dissatisfied".This dissatisfaction leads to Cognitive Dissonance.

Now when if the feedback of consumers is good and they are satisfied with the product than the marketer has successfully sold his product and this will help in growing and exapnding the sales.

On other hand if the consumer is not satisfied than the marketer will face challenges as the consumer will not opt the product for the next time.

Various strategies for overcoming the situation of cognitive dissonance or post purchase dissonance :-

  1. Customer support
  2. Loyalty marketing
  3. Referal marketting
  4. Anticipate what is wrong
  5. Fix problem as soon as possible
