The United States after World War II was in total control of the world economy and the super power state made them enjoy more privilege in leading the likeminded nations against the Communist nations, especially the Soviet Union. George Kennan in his Long Telegram, brings out the nature of the Communist leaders and their intention of spreading communism across the world thus remaining a threat to democratic idea. Winston Churchill in his famous speech titled, The Sinews of Peace brought out the importance of strengthening the military bases across the world with the help of the British colonies in order to tackle this threat and Stalin’s reply to handle that arrangement were viewed as the factors contributing to another world war but fortunately, it just ended in a mere cold war that lasted until the Soviet economy and union broke away into separate countries. US, on the other hand kept strengthening its military and economic power across the globe controlling most part of the world through some voluntary wars. The relationship between these two contrasting ideologies had to continue their cold war and even today the two countries are not in good terms although they don’t directly express it.
