*Non drug" interventions are mainly important in field of medical practice.

Non - drug interventions has been an evidenced - based practice following in the recent era and is a significant process based on the psychological treatments for substance abuse and dependence.

The techniques used in the "non-drug" interventions are found to be very effective than the "drug -based tratment"

We can see some "non -drug" based treatment such as :

*cognitive behaviour therapy

*Motivational - interviewing

*relapse prevention

Non drug interventions are mainly important in field of medical practice Non drug interventions has been an evidenced based practice following in the recent era and is a significant process based on the psychological treatments for substance abuse and dependence The techniques used in the non-drug interventions are found to be very effective than the drug-based tratment We can see some non -drug based treatment such as cognitive behaviour therapy Motivational-interviewing relapse prevention Psychological treatment is more effective when prescribed with substitute instead of psychological treatment alone particulary for opiate users. The psychological therapy leads to either a reduction in or abstinence from,that substance and improvements across a broad range of areas of functioning,which include a physical health,psychological health,human immuno-deficiency virus and hepatitis risk behaviours etc. Psychological tratments can be brief or intensive and specialized. *Psychosocial treatments are considered to be the foundation of the drug and alcohol treatment,especially for substances where pharmacological treatments have not been sufficiently eveluated. Humans have biological and psychological characters,according to their way of living and their backgrounds they will explicit their characters. All are vulnerable to potential behavioural health problems All are having positive protective individual -protective factors such as postive self-image,self -control,social -competence and self-esteem. In some case these biological behaviours will alter and goes to a stage of showing some negative behavioural health problems and showing addiction and substance abuse Here for this type of case we can go for a non -health interventions by promoting the behavioural health continuum model The beh avioural continuum model consists of Promotion :Where there is a positive reinforcement promotion strategies to improve the behavioural health services Counselling strategies: prior to the application of behaviour health care continuum model Treatment Rehabilitation and helps them to engage back to a positive behaviour Recovery : Support individuals abilities to live productive lives in the community and often them to engage with the family,society/public and can often help with abstinence
