* Calculation of how many days the medication last.

        Formula

             Volume(ml) = Desired dose/Dose in hand * Quantity.

      Here

          Desired dose (D) = 2 mg

          Dose in hand (H) = 2 mg

                   Quantity(Q) = 5 ml

As per above formula

           Volume of drug required = D/H * Q

                                                   = 2/2 * 5

                                                   = 5 ml q4hr to 6 hr or (6 times to 4 times) a day.

       Volume of drug required per day = 5 * 6 to 5 * 4

                                                           = 30 ml to 20 ml per day.

                            1 oz (ounce) = 29.57 ml.

             So

                      8 ounce (oz) = 29.57 * 8

                                           = 236.56 ml.

       Number of days will the medication last if dispense 8oz or 256.56 ml

                                                     = 236.56 / 30 to 236.56 / 20

                                                     = 7.8 to 11.8

                                                     = 8 to 12 days.
