Answer #1

X axis is the plasma Osmolarity and the Y axis is the plasma vasopressin concentration.

Vasopressin causes increased reabsorption of water from the collecting tubule and thus decreases the plasma Osmolarity.

In the graph it is seen that as the X axis value increases, the Y axis value increases.

If plasma Osmolarity increases, vasopressin concentration increases to decrease the plasma Osmolarity.

But if we take the opposite, the graph will indicate that the plasma Osmolarity increases with increase in the vasopressin concentration, but it actually decreases.

Figure 1. This figure shows Chlorophyll A and Secchi depth for each of the four sites. There is also a trend line to show the overall shape of the data. First look at the graph, read the x and y axes labels. Did they even graph the data correctly? Answer the following questions: What is wrong with the Y axis? What do the diamonds represent? What do the squares represent? They decided to use a trend line. Consider the data…was...

Two different membrane preparations have been created from the plasma membrane of red blood cells (1) right-side-out membrane vesicles (ROVs) and (2) insideout membrane vesicles IOVs) in which the exoplasmic leaflet faces the interior of the vesicles. a. Annexin V is a protein that binds to phosphatidylserine, one of the phospholipids present in cell membranes. Fluorescently labeled annexin V is mixed with each vesicle preparation. The vesicles are washed to remove unbound annexin V and then examined by fluorescence microscopy....

Blood samples were drawn from five individuals as indicated below (a-e). The RBCs in each sample were removed, then each sample was incubated with fluorescently-labeled antibodies against CD4 and a different fluorescently-labeled antibody against CD8. The samples were then analyzed by flow cytometry. For each individual (a-e), draw a separate dot plot with CD4 fluorescence on the horizontal axis and CD8 fluorescence on the vertical axis. On the dot plot, indicate where you’d expect major cell populations to be located...

    1) Consider the directed graph below. “S” is the start state and “G1,G2,G3” are 3 goal states. In traversing the graph one can move only in the direction indicated by the arrows. The numbers on the edges indicate the step-cost for traversing that edge. The numbers in the nodes represent the estimated cost to the nearest goal state. In the following you will be asked to search this graph using various search strategies. When you work out your answer, please...
