Specifically, this branch of science, study about the tissue and cells of the nervous system and how the nerves and the neurons run the pattern in communicating and even controlling or determining the behaviour as well as the motor development.
Various studies where conducted to find the correlation between the various nervous points and its effects on specific motor function. For example, the specific part of the brain controlling language and hearing also some part of the brain controlling learning and visual. Motor cortex of the brain controlling the body movement etc.
A recent study conducted by psychologists Piaget and Vygotsky have aided in the understanding the child development. Piaget focused on the growth of logical thinking and Vygotsky, studied on the influence of culture and language, on child development.
On the other hand, developmental theories help us to view the society at its best. As the new knowledge of neurobiology suggest that human nature and personality are pre-determined and even can be controlled by the brain and the nervous system. Thus some importance is given to the anatomy and physiology of the brain and the nervous system. A new vision has emerged over the developmental theories and stages. In conclusion, similar to environmental and genetical factors, the biological mark also determines the contribution of an individual to the society and to self.
