If 2 million people had chronic hepatitis C in the United States last year, and of these 120,000 received treatment that cured them of hepatitis C and 80,000 died. What is the minimum number of new hepatitis C cases that would have to have been reported last year in order for you to conclude that prevalence is increasing?

Prevalence of hepatitis C last year was 2 million= 20 lakh

120000 were cured and 80000 died.

So total = 120000+80000= 2 lakes

So to conclude prevalence is increasing ,at least 2 lakh cases should have been reported .
