1. a. Pitocin---Pitocin is used to produce uterine contractions during the last stage of labor and to control bleeding. It generally stores between 22-28 degree c. It is injected to the muscle by the trained staff.
b. Stadol- This drug is used during a labor pain or before surgical procedures. It is approved in 1978. It is a sterile solution. 1-2 gm of stadol has been second time given to the patient after 4 hours.
C. Methergine- This medicine is used after delivery to stop the bleeding through the uterus. Methergine is available in sterile form of 1 mL, it contains 0.2 mg methylergonovine maleate for intramuscular or intravenous injection. It is also available in tablet form.
