Answer #1

Loss of taste and smell normally happens with aging, notably after crossing the age of 60. To compensate for the loss of taste and smell excess sugar or salt in the meals could be added, in case of persons having normal sugar levels and blood pressure. In some cases, the impaired smell and taste are treatable but generally age-related loss of taste and smell is irreversible. Certain medications could adjust that are prescribed by the doctor as per need.
