Answer #1

Answer : 3.7) The answer is option e.

In regression model, y is a dependent variable, explained variable, predicted variable and regressand.  Hence options a, b, c and d all referrs to y.   Therefore, option e is correct.

3.8) The answer is option a.

In statistics there is a condition that "if X and Y are independent variables", then

E(Y|X) = E(Y).

Therefore, option a is correct.
