Give an explaination of how to use H-NMR to measure composition of a mixture of volatile liquids.
First you need to identify a common CH/CH2/CH3 group in compounds present in the mixture. It will be better if it has less complicated pattern like a single or a doublet.
Then do the integration of that particular peak which u have identified for the compounds. Then find their ratios.. This ratio will give you the composition.
For example In a mixture of 2 compounds you have identified a singlet CH3 which is common for all the compounds. After integrating if u find one is area is 3 and another area is also 3 that means they are in 1:1 ratio that is 50 % of both the compound is present in the mixture.

How many H NMR signals and 13C NMR signals does moronic acid give off? What is the color of the compound? 3-oxoolean-18-en-28-oic acid is an alternate name for moronic acid
1. Both miscible distillations and steam distillations use boiling point differences to separate volatile liquids from mixtures. Using information in the powerpoint and the lab manual, compare the differences between steam distillation and miscible distillation in terms of: a. The temperature of distilling liquid throughout the course of the distillation. 2 pts b. The composition of the distillate throughout the course of distillation. 2 pts
How do you analyze the peaks in Proton NMR spectra for both Cyclohexanol and Cyclohexene? *****PLEASE give a detailed explaination.

How many signals would be observed in a low resolution H-NMR spectrum of benzyl acetate?:*
3) Critical analysis (5 points): (a) Your TA will give you a 'H NMR spectrum of the 3-nitroaniline product. Using your NMR knowledge and the special NMR section in the lab book (especially pages 48 ON and 49), assign the 4 peaks in the spectrum to each of the protons in the product. you will need to use coupling pattern and chemical shift to complete the assignment. H. (b) Explain your assignment, specifically how you differentiated between Haand H.
