In reviewing a scatter plot for a set of data, no relation is visible among the data points. Should linear regression be used to further analyze the data? Explain why or why not.

No

Scatter plot can be used to identify the approximate relationship between the two variables. If we can't observed the relationship between the variables via scatter plot then we can conclude that there is no srongs relationship between the two variables. Note that, sometimes moderate relationship between the two variables can't find by using scatter plot. So we need to find numerical analysis as correlation.
