Ethics is the act of moral principle that researcher has to follow while conducting research to protect right and welfare of individual.
When humans are used as study participants in research to ensure the right of those humans are protected. Systematic violation in ethical principle are occurred in ancient time. Research that violates ethical principle is crucial and immoral. For example conduct research regarding the effectiveness of new medication. Here the participants are the patient who administer medication and withhold it from others (control group ) to see difference. Ethical dilemma is exposure of hazardous side effect of new medication of participants who required intervention and denied the benefit of medication of participants who don't required medication.
The ethical principles such as principle of beneficence, principle of respect for human dignity, principle of justice are the important in case of research.
While conducting research, one of most important ethical principle is that of Principle of beneficence. It implies no harm to the individual. Study participants may exposed to be harm in different way such as physical interm of injury, psychological is stress or anxiety and economic is loss of money. Researchers should minimize the potential hazardous and increase the benefit of participants. Researcher should be qualified. If the research violate the ethical principle and causes harm to the participants should terminate the research.
Beneficence involved protection of participants from physical and psychological harm. Researchers must understand the ethical principle and maintain it throughout the research.
