Graded potential are also called as local, generator or potentials. These are very excitory in nature and these are also created in the same way as the AP is created at the axon hillock. These are generated by the influx of positively charged ions i.e sodium ions in the intracellular fluid by decreasing the negativity of the charge inside relative to the outside of the cell. The graded potential in neuron A, graded potential is produced when a ligand opens a ligand gated channel, in dendrites allowing the ions to enter or exit the cell. For example, sodium will enter the cell and potassium will exit the cell until the both reaches equilibrium.
