Informed Consent : Informed consent is a process of getting permission from the patient by the physician before conducting a procedure or any health care intervention which involved some risks.

This indicates that patient is ready to take all types of risks associated with that particular procedure and is ready to face any type of consequences.

Example : A mother with labour pains presented to the hospital and found that there was some obstetric complication took place , which made physician to go for Caesarean Section.Here mother should go for anaesthesia.So here for giving anaesthesia to the mother physician would get informed consent from the patient or husband or families before starting the procedure.
