Answer #1

Hospitals are basically characterised as PROFIT HOSPITALS (who pay property and income tax, and have avenues for raising capital, owned either by investors or stakeholders of a public traded company) and NON PROFIT HOSPITALS(Dont have property and income taxes, they operate for public and they cannot distribute the profit to any individuals).

If we see 4 different types of Hospitals,

1. Trauma care hospital

2 acute care facilities

3. Community  hospitals

4. Teaching hospitals

Based on the type of ownership like for - profit or non profit , the standard of equipments and care vary in each type of hospitals.

Religeous based society running hospitals , they recieve public funding in form of medicare, medicaid payments and tax exempt government bonds.religeous hospital prohibit health care professionals in their hospitals from providing certain medical intervention which is against their religeous teaching.

As per question ofcourse , religeous based society exhibit their religeous education and mission in health care facilities run by them by counselling of patients done by chaplins, performing prayers or chants at a particular time through hospital speakers daily etc and they consider it as a service perfprmed as taught by their religeon and its never forced.

For profit hospital are located in areas with relatively well - insured patients, this inturn is a profit making strategy.the well equipped hospitals charge more for the patient for its service , so the one time investment will earn the for profit owners by there service.

While comparing the mission statements of for profit and non profit hospitals , researches proved that 3 concepts : cost , access and quality are same with investor owned and non governmental and non profit hospitals as the hospital management devote there maximum effort to the hospital specific comprehensive mission statement with aimof providing information for stake holders , and to attract the community by its unique way of care and niche in the competitive healthcare environment.
