Ans) a) Available Protamine Sulfate inj 50mg

If 1 ml contains 10mg then total inj is 5ml.

Order : Protamine Sulfate 40mg

So 1ml= 10mg then for 40mg, 4ml should be administered.

b) IV Infusion rate should not exceed 5 mg/min so for 40 mg time required will be: 5mg = 1 min then 40mg= x

Let x be the time in mins required to administer directly IV protamine Sulfate ordered dose of 40 mg.

.`. x= 40/5 = 8 mins
