Answer: The physiologic effect of the stress includes the nervous system, immune system as well as endocrine system. It also includes the behavioral changes. the increased cortisol level released during the stress causes delayed wound healing process. The cortisol elevates the release of catecholamine. It also suppress the insulin as well as the immune inflammatory response. The increased level of cortisol causes abnormalities in the process of Gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis.
