Management is considering three options to pursue this decision: (1) have the hospital's safety officer write the plan, (2) form a planning committee to develop the plan, or (3) bring in an experienced contractor to create the plan. Task is to create a facility emergency plan

The pros and cons of three options made by the Management :

1. Have the hospital safety officer write the plan . Hospital safety officer has to duty to provide safety and security to the hospital and the staffs working there . He don't know about the emergency department because he belongs to a non medical field and is not aware of anything about the emergency department , hence it would be a drastic disaster if he writes the plan . There are no pros ,only cons will be there.

2. Form a planning committee to develop a plan :

Pros :-

- will have different persons with different fields to give their essential suggestions and feedback

- it will help to utilise many innovative ideas and suggestions provided by the members of the committee

- it will be well planned and based on the goals and needs

Cons :-

- more time is needed

- more money is needed

- teamwork is required essentially to aim the goal

3. Bring in an experienced contractor to create the plan :

Pros :-

- Well planned and timely construction of emergency department

- no requirement of staffs energy and time

- help to provide care to more number of patients in the emergency department

Cons:-

- Costly
