A discussion of the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Has your organization or company put into place any specific policies recently that address corporate responsibility issues? How have they affected customers or clients? How have they affected your job responsibilities? Do you agree with the new policy?
Yes, my organization has put into place specific policies recently that address corporate social responsibility (CSR) issues. My organization is a manufacturer and seller of fast moving consumer goods like soaps and shampoos and has put in place a tangible CSR policy that aims to address various environmental, social and economic challenges being faced by it in a systematic manner. In the policy my company focuses on sustainable development.
The customers of the company have been positively impacted by the specific policies that have been recently introduced and implemented by my company. This is because the CSR initiatives and policies have enabled my company to commit to ethical and transparent practices against all relevant stakeholders. Customers are an important stakeholder of my company, besides the employees, vendors, suppliers etc. All of them have been positively impacted by the company’s commitment to ethical and transparent practices through its CSR initiatives. Job responsibilities have widened in its scope for the employees of the company as they now have to focus on sustainable practices as well. Now employees are not only accountable for their job functions but are also responsible and accountable for working in a sustainable, ethical and transparent manner.
Yes, I do agree with the new policy and I think that this policy will lead to incremental goodwill creation for the company besides helping it solve the various environmental, social and economic challenges being faced by it in an optimal manner. This will enable the company to create more value in the long run on a sustainable basis.
