Topic of the campaign including the topic and key messages: ‘We Can’ (Ways to Enhance Children’s Activity & Nutrition) is a national movement designed to give parents, caregivers, and entire communities a solution to help 8 to 13 years old children maintain a healthy weight. The We Can program provides tools, fun activities etc., to parents and caregivers to encourage healthy eating, physical activity, and reduced time sitting watching TV or computer.
The program also provides organizations, community groups, and healthcare professionals a central resource pool to promote a healthy weight in youth through community outreach activities, partnership development initiatives, and media-based activities that can be adapted to meet the requirements of varied populations. Science-based education programs, training opportunities, support materials, and other resources are available as support program for youth, parents, and families in the society.
