HOW TO ASSESS VIOLENCE, CULTURE, SPIRITUAL AND RELIGIOUS PRACTICES AND NUTRITIONAL STATUS AND WHY IT IS IMPORTANT IN NURSING PRACTICES?

VIOLENCE: It is defined as the intentional use of physical force or power to injure, abuse, damage or destroy against oneself, another person or against group of people or a community. The assessment of violence can be done through a) collecting patient history ( interviews with family members, and others who have had a close relationship with the patient) b) identify their moods and behaviors ( For instance., When patients exposed to provocation, their mood change and commit violent acts.). These assessment helps the nurses to know the risk factors for patients while treating them. Also, it is important to assess individuals for violence potential before clinical encounters. Moreover, such assessment controls situations to reduce injury risk.

CULTURE: Culture is a learned behavior and it is usually transmits through social contacts.
