Communication, is the sharing of ideas, facts, opinions, information and understanding. It is the transfer or transmission of some information and understanding from one person to another. .

It is defined as the process by which information is exchanged between individuals.

The process uses written messages, spoken words and gestures.

The information function serves to provide knowledge to the individuals need for guidance. It fulfills worker’s desires for awareness of things that affect them.

The command and instructive functions serve to make one aware of his obligations to provide him with additional guidance on how to perform his duties adequately. Any disaggrement, doubt or misprovenness on the subject by the provider leads to disrespect or misunderstanding.

The influence and persuasion function encourages the appropriate individual to perform or to exhibit a certain behaviour.

The speaker and listener have different perceptions about the meaning of a message. This effect is amplified when one think being authentic Without knowing the intention, the interpersonal skill of frame an authentic message.

Making a statement rather than asking a question closes off the possibility that one' ll gain additional understanding and increases the likelihood that will be perceived negatively.

What we hear is quite different from what someone has actually said and certainly different from what they might have intended to say. Get clarity as quickly as possible to avoid tainting the interaction with a misconception made.

Create common ground on which to share the perspective. This helps people maintain understanding without hitting hot buttons ferociously.

Demonstrate ones’ authenticity by telling people that you might not have it down. This comment instantly brings your audience to the table in terms of how you're operating.
