When it comes to Economics, we are free to do what we please as to the purchasing and consumption of goods and the like. In our history, it appears that every civilized society has always maintained a form of government. Governments exist to protect the individual freedoms of each person but an also to promote the well being of the communities we live in. When thinking about this and Economics, I ultimately think of the economics of how we are taxed, in particular, real estate taxes, because that has a majority to do with my profession. All people have the option to spend and invest the money they have earned however they feel. Taxes, real estate, in particular, are each government's main source of revenue. These figures are based on the value of the land, home, and building attached to each parcel of property. Typically taxes are paid monthly along with a mortgage payment; this is considered Escrow. Property taxes are our government's main form of revenue. Many states impose a tax on cars, boats and other vehicles as well. When it comes to Economics, we are free to have and own all these things or even live where we live, but if we do not pay on these items, we could be fined and also potentially lose ownership of these things. See if we are not paying these taxes our government would not be able to function, and much like we are seeing at our current moment in time with the government, things are shut down, and it's making us look at safety and security.
