Not only is this issue happening in Lindale, but many other small town or cities are facing the risk of having an abortion clinic. Sanctuary Cities for the unbom are the latest way some American communities are attempting to wall themselves off from rules they disagree with, laws imposed by higher authorities that do not match their values. Many issues and debates have been brought up about abortion clinics starting up A majority of Americans believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases, according to Pew Research Center. Yet abortion right now are facing more scrutiny than ever (Searcey, 2020).

Abortion has been a controversial topic in the USA and to oppose the abortion in any form, sanctuary cities are being formed. It is happening, because values of the some of the communities are in conflict with the laws related to the abortion. Though, the laws still disallow abortion after a certain number of weeks, in all the states, but each state has its own laws to regulate the issue of abortion. It is the reason that some cities with dominance of communities not preferring abortion is creating sanctuary areas, even if the majority of the population wants rights for the abortion. This problem and conflict can be dealt with the help of open dialogue between the communities and authorities where the final decision should be based upon the safety and security of the concerned mother (would be), civil rights of the unborn and what is best for the society. If there is right to not opting the abortion, then it is equally a right for those who want abortion. So, a balance can be created to prevent a conflict between groups of people having different views. Regarding this, a federal law, will also work as it will supersede the other local or state laws that has to be obeyed by everyone in the USA.
