10.28 Definition of the visual cycle of retinal/ Which
cells have the ability to do it?
10.29 Understand the definition of dark current
10.30 Types of cones
10.31 Brain structures that regulates eye movements
Answer: The visual cycle of retina is a conversion of photon into electrical signal biologically. The photoreceptor cells detect the light. The photoreceptor cells are rods and cones.
The dark current is a biological process in which the photoreceptor cells causes visual phototransduction, which converts light into signals.
The cones have red, green, blue receptors. The brain controls the eye movements which also includes both the movements i.e. voluntary as well as involuntary. The cranial nerves in the brain controls extraocular muscles.

1) What is the best definition of the "receptive field" of an afferent neuron? A) The area of the cerebral cortex in which information from that afferent neuron is initially received. B) All of the interneuron cell bodies and dendrites onto which the afferent neuron synapses. C) The number of interneurons with which the central process of the afferent neuron makes synaptic contact via divergence. D) The type of stimulus energy to which the afferent neuron is most sensitive. E)...
Loss of the peripheral cells of the retina would produce which of the following? O poor vision under dim lighting conditions improved sight under dim conditions O poorer discrimination of colors improved ability to track movement Question 16 1 pts would be a major symptom? You would not see anything from the right side of each eye. You would not see anything coming from your left eye. You would not see anything from the left side of each eye. You...
Questions 1 pts Humans and many other diurnal animals have three types of cones - one stimulated maximally by blue light, a second maximally stimulated by green light, and a third stimulated maximally by red light. How can human beings see colors such as orange, yellow and purple? When red cones are stimulated, they inhibit blue and green cones. When blue cones are stimulated, they inhibit only green cones. Green cones when stimulated, do not inhibit other cones, but do...
Unit 3 Study Resource Meiosis • Process by which diploid cells create haploid cells NOT part of the cell cycle > only some cells ever undergo meiosis During meiosis I, homologous chromosomes line up to allow them to be separated into two new cells o They can become "tangled" during this phase, which leads to crossing-over (rearranging the alleles) O Result of meiosis I is two non-identical haploid cells Meiosis Il looks very similar to mitosis, in that sister chromatids...

2. Explain the differences between motor learning and motor control within the field of motor behavior. Motor learning is an internal state that is relatively permanent. Practice is required in order for motor learning to occur. Practice is repetition errors become consistent, fewer or smaller then learned. Before practice you need to have a goal setting, then instructions, after instructions you need to have demonstrations. During practice...

i have a med assignment to do. this is the background and the questions. 100% rating if all parts are answered, make sense and are relevant. i just need to make sure my answers are correct (hence why im posting it here!) The small intestine is separated from...
Welcome to our plant sciences department here at TransBiol It's great to have you as an intern. I'm the lead scientist of a team developing new herbicides to use against invasive plant species. The team has been really swamped with work, so it'll be great to have some help analyzing all the data we're collecting. Since it's your first day, a great way to get started with any research project is to brush up on the background knowledge you'll need...
