In the Robert Gordon reading, Robert Gordon talks about the “three industrial revolutions”. Describe each revolution briefly and explain why he believes that the third industrial revolutions was less potent for human economic growth. Do you agree with him that the “innovations” of the last few decades are less impressive than the earlier ones?

According to Robert jordan three types of industrial revolution are -

  1. Steam and Radioroad (1750- 1830)
  2. Electricity and combustion engine(1890-1972)
  3. Computer ,web and mobile phone (1960- present)

sTEAM AND RADIOROAD- It began around 1760 through steam engine ,steam is powering everything from agriculture to textile manufacture.

ELECTICITY AND COMBUSTION ENGINE - Inovation such as electric lighting , radio and telephone tranform the way of people living and communicate .

COMPUTER,WEB AND MOBILE PHONE - This revolution is known as digital revolution .This revolution bring semiconductor ,miniframe computer ,internet ,mobile phone ,etc.

The most significant revolution was 2 one and the most unsignificant revolution was 3 one , because 3 revolution bring economy growth from 1960 to 2004 but can not able to sustain it uniformally .
