The capacity of the person to adapt to the environmental condition is called the organismic response.
Any type of organism or it's part must exist to a condition to survive is called adaptation. According to Levine the interaction between the person and environment occur in three stages: adaptation, organic response, and conservation. The Organismic response is the change of behavior of a person while adapting to a particular environment. An organismic response is a response that protects the person from the threats and violence. The most common response is fight or flight response to the real or imagined threat. Sometimes the patient develops a stress response due to continuous stressful experiences. And the perceptual response is the adaptation to the environment by understanding the situation.

Cells have an amazing capacity to adapt to changes in the environment and protect themselves from injury. Chapter 2 of the text discusses the 4(5, but it considers one not a "true" adaptation) different ways that cells adapt to changes. Your assignment, should you choose to accept it: Pick a type of adaptation, describe it, and provide an example of what conditions or diseases might promote this type of adaptation, OR Choose a specific type of cellular injury, (in the...

Environmental public policy appears in response to specific problems and needs. How is environmental public policy developed in modern societies? Be sure to mention the stages.
Physicians use a machine called a spirometer to measure the maximum amount of air a person can exhale (called the forced vital capacity). Suppose you can exhale 4.3 L . How many kilograms of air do you exhale? Assume that the density of air is 1.3 kg/m3.

Give an example of an organism and its adaptation to an extreme environmental condition (for example, extreme cold, heat, low water or nutrient availability, disturbance to its habitat). For full credit, describe how the adaptation allows the organism to survive in those conditions.
